Dedicated to the memory of Charlie Green

This site is a tribute to Charlie Green. A much loved Husband, Dad and Grandad, Brother, Uncle and Friend, he will always be remembered, because he lived well and laughed often.

He was a devoted husband to Vera Ann and looked after her for many years during the bad times and the good times. Married for 68 years they had a good life together, with ups and downs like most couples, but with an enduring love for each other.

He was so proud of his daughters Linda and Wendy and their wonderful husbands, Chris and David. He adored his Grandson Jamie and was thrilled that his middle name was Charles after him. It's turned out to be quite fitting, as they are both naughty boys with wicked senses of humour.

Charlie had lots of hobbies but his most enduring one was sea fishing and he was never happier than when out on a choppy sea with his fishing club pals from the Dartford Ramblers. He had tremendous respect for the RNLI and would really appreciate your donations in memory of him. He loved the sea, the seaside, and in particular, Cornwall, where he spent annual holidays with Vera and their girls.

He loved anything electrical and built the family's first ever television in time for the Queen's coronation. Televisions were such a big part of his life, and he really loved his work. He also loved playing jokes on his workmates, most of which involved electric shocks!

Charlie loved his family and family occasions, especially Christmas, and this year it just won't be the same without him. Who is going to phone us at the crack of dawn and ask what time are we opening the presents?

Love you Charlie xxxxx
